Maine continued to amaze! This lighthouse has a breakwater that was unbelievable. The slabs of giant stones were moved to this location. From the top of the structure to the water was about 20 feet. There is no “glue” holding it together, just pieces and parts fitted perfectly together. The lighthouse is at the far end of the breakwater about a mile. It was a long, long walk getting to the lighthouse and the breakwater is not level. If you don’t watch your step, you can trip and go sailing into the sea!
